This page explains how the SEA-SENSE project handles personal data collected through this website, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
Data Controller
The data controller for personal data collected through this website is Synchro SRL. For data protection inquiries, contact us at office@synchro.ro.
What Data We Collect
When you use the contact form on this website, we collect the following personal data: your name, your email address, your organisation (if provided), and the subject and content of your message. We do not collect any personal data beyond what you voluntarily submit through the contact form. This website may use basic analytics cookies to understand visitor traffic. No tracking cookies are used for advertising or profiling purposes.
Why We Collect It
We process your personal data for the following purposes: to respond to your inquiry (your name, email, and message are used to reply to your contact form submission), to understand who is reaching out (organisation and subject information help the project team provide a relevant response), and to monitor website usage (if analytics are enabled, anonymised usage data helps us understand how visitors use the site). The legal basis for processing contact form data is your consent, given when you check the consent box before submitting the form (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
How Long We Keep It
Contact form submissions are retained for the duration of the SEA-SENSE project plus 12 months, or until the inquiry has been resolved, whichever is later. After this period, personal data is deleted. Analytics data, where collected, is anonymised and does not constitute personal data.
Who We Share It With
Your personal data is not shared with third parties. Contact form submissions are accessible only to the SEA-SENSE project team at Synchro SRL. If the website uses a third-party email delivery service to forward contact form submissions, that service acts as a data processor under a data processing agreement and does not use your data for any other purpose.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; rectify inaccurate or incomplete data; erase your personal data (right to be forgotten); restrict the processing of your data; withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe your data protection rights have been violated.
How to Exercise Your Rights
To make a data access, rectification, or deletion request, contact us at office@synchro.ro. We will respond to your request within 30 days.
Changes to This Policy
This privacy policy may be updated to reflect changes in data processing practices or legal requirements. The date of the last update is noted at the top of this page.
